Dr. Kristina Johnson, PT, DPT

Kristina is a physical therapist who joined Wisconsin Orthopedic Physical Therapy in 2025. She has worked in private practice since graduating and believes in the one on one, manual based care that it offers. She enjoys working with a variety of diagnoses and getting to the cause of the problem with a variety of approaches.

 

Kristina received her Bachelor's Degree from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee and went on to graduate from Carroll University’s physical therapy program in 2012. She began her career in Plymouth, WI and moved back to the area in 2016.  Kristina has taken continuing education in various treatment techniques including dry needling, Graston Technique, myofascial release, and muscle energy technique. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family exploring new trails, traveling,  and attending local festivals and attractions.

Dr. Nicole, a highly accomplished physical therapist, graduated in 2012 from Carroll University in Waukesha, WI, where she obtained her Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science and subsequently earned a Doctorate of Physical Therapy. 

 

During her time at Carroll University, Dr. Nicole showcased her athleticism and dedication by participating in softball for the Lady Pioneers, garnering recognition with a 2nd Team Conference honor.

 

Dr. Nicole's professional journey has evolved into a specialization in orthopedics and sports medicine. Her commitment to excellence is evident through her extensive postgraduate education, with a strong focus on rehabilitating athletes, particularly in cases of knee and shoulder injuries. Her expertise extends to various areas, including running and throwing injuries, spine care, sacroiliac joint treatments, and both lower and upper extremity therapies. Dr. Nicole is also a certified practitioner of dry needling from MyoPain Seminars, offering a well-rounded approach to patient care, incorporating both manual techniques and exercise-based rehabilitation.

 

Outside of her professional life, Dr. Nicole values her time with family and friends. She is an avid traveler with a goal to explore all 50 states; she has already crossed off 29 from her list. Sports hold a special place in her heart, as she proudly holds season tickets to Badger football games, while also passionately supporting the Packers, Bucks, and Brewers. In the warmer months, you'll find Dr. Nicole on the volleyball court, competing in two leagues. When the seasons change, she enjoys lake life up north, engaging in activities such as boating, fishing, hiking, and UTV adventures. Dr. Nicole's passion for life beyond the clinic, coupled with her unwavering commitment to excellence in her practice, empowers her patients to not only recover but to strive for their personal best.
